The Downtown Farmers’ Market will open Tuesday in its new location in Gitchi ode’ Akiing Park, formerly known as Lake Place Park.

This gem of a park has been called “Duluth’s Terrace” and features stunning views, Lakewalk access and plenty of space for vendors and social distancing. Face coverings are encouraged and arrows will be placed around the park indicating the foot traffic pattern. Expect to find such things as fresh produce, herbs, flowers and more.

Gitchi ode’ Akiing can be easily accessed via the Lakewalk from both Fitger’s and Canal Park along with an entrance at 214 E Superior Street, across from the Norshor Theatre. The Market will run every Tuesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm through September 29th.
